November 4, 2005, Newsletter Issue #99: Giving Thanks at Birthday Parties

Tip of the Week

Practice scenario`s ahead of time. Ask your child what he`ll say if he receives a duplicate gift, or even something he already owns. What should he say when someone gives him a tee shirt rather than the toy he really wanted?

Regardless of the gift, teach your child to include an enthusiastic "Thank you" in his response to each guest and to take the time to examine each gift before tossing it aside for the next one.
